Interfacing Organic Chemistry and Chemical Biology
In order to address the complex and dynamic challenges facing society in the area of disease detection, treatment and prevention, an interdisciplinary approach must be taken for more innovative solutions. The Musacchio research group aims to develop new chemical technologies that will assist in the synthesis and design of next-generation drug molecules, chemotherapeutics, and biologics. We seek to expand the utility of radical chemistry at the intersection of synthetic organic chemistry and chemical biology through new reaction development, bioconjugation strategies, and biocatalysis.
